SHINee's Jonghyun was the first to release photos of their new look for their October 19th 3rd album titled '2009, Year Of Us.' As each day goes by, a different member of SHINee will reveal their new look and today's the day for young Taemin.
Taemin sports a look that is radically different than before. With a new hairstyle, he looks a lot older and more mature. The clothing style looks very similar to Jonghyun's (monotone, gothic, glam&chic), so I expect the rest of the SHINee boys to have a similar concept in clothing. Shedding the soft and colorful image from before, Onew is revealed sporting a short 'do and exuding a tough charm that has drawn much attention from the public. What do you think of the overall concept, yay or nay?
SHINee's upcoming 3rd album will also include Onew's first solo track titled "The Name I Loved", which blends the common ballad genre with a hint of alternative rock. The song, which describes the pain of a forbidden love, features the artist Kim Yeon Woo, whom Onew has always respected as a sunbae.
After fellow SHINee members Minho, Onew, Taemin, and Jonghyun revealed their new look for their new album, "2009, Year of Us," Key has finally revealed his own look!
You will see that he does a 180° radical transformation. The last time you saw him, he had blonde permed hair. His new look reveals a black, unbalanced-cut hair with a bit of dye of violet color. He also has a smoky makeup which reveals his attractive eyes and harmonizes with the monotone feel.
SHINee's 4th track song in their comeback album, called, "Get Down," will have Key and Minho showing their rapping skills - almost as if they are having a rap battle. What is more interesting is that f(x)'s Luna will be featured, showing her sensational vocals.
SHINee will debut with "Ring Ding Dong" on the 16th through KBS2TV's Music Bank.
We reported earlier on news of SHINee's new come back song "Ring Ding Dong" and of Onew's new look.
Concept photos of Minho's new look has now been released, raising anticipation and eagerness for the upcoming album '2009, Year of Us'. It seems Minho hasn't made as big of a shift as Onew but he does definitely look more mature, dark, and charismastic. The single comes out in a few days on the 14th, with a performance on Music Bank on the 16th, and their album release on the 19th.

On the 9th, MBLAQ (Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality's), pronounced as "M Black," debuted with their first performance in world-star Rain's "Asia Tour: Legend of Rainism," in Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium. They performed 3 songs live, one of which was their debut album title song, "Oh, Yes (오, 예)," in the opening stage in front of 8000 attendance.
Rain showed a lot of satisfaction as he met with the reporters in his prep room after the concert. He commented, "MBLAQ has been preparing for 2 years. They have great talent in singing, dancing, and rapping. Compared to my debut, I think their skills are better than mine."
Rain commented, "Looking at MBLAQ's performance, I think I was more anxious. ... I can now understand Park Jin Young hyung's feelings. He said he would come to tomorrow's (10th) concert, so he can evaluate MBLAQ."

During the SBS's Big Idol Show, 2NE1 and G-Dragon were in the studio together performing a pre-recorded unplugged version of 2NE1's hit single "I Don't Care."

It's so cute how these girls try to get in touch and personal with their fans. With their frequent me2day updates and now their Chuseok letters, I have to say, 2NE1 fans must be having it the best! However, it's a shame that we don't get to see these girls getting traditional with Korean hanboks.
I'm sure many of you remember our story on Lady Collection, the new 3-female member vocal group, that is set to debut in October.
Well, the ladies have finally revealed themselves and released a teaser mv for their debut track "Watch secretly (훔쳐보기)."
Consisting of members Jieun (JC), Eli (앨리) and Sei (세이), the 3 ladies supposedly have amazing vocals and will be the next SeeYa. On a side note, I just romanized the names, and am not sure how they will officially spell them, so take that with a grain of salt.
As for their label, earlier reports stated that they were from YG Entertainment, but there may have been confusion on that end, as JC was originally in YG Entertainment. Their label is unconfirmed as of yet.

Only a month after their debut, f(x) showed that although they are new, they are still a force to be reckoned with.
Cyworld has announced the winner of their Rookie of the Month award for the month of September, and it goes to none other than SM's latest girl group.
It looks like f(x) is ending September with a bang with their Rookie of the Month award, performances oversea and their participation in the 2009 Dream Concert announced.
ABS-CBN has recently released copies of their annual publication, Star Magic Catalogue 2010 which showcases over 300 artistes laid out on 150 pages.
There was a surprise though for fans of Sandara Park, or more affectionately known as Krung-Krung to her fans in the Philippines who still look out for her even though she's based in Korea now, after appearing in the Star Magic Catalogue 2010.
No idea when this was taken or why Sandara is included in this catalouge since she's now under YG Entertainment and doing well as part of 2NE1. But it might be because because she still has ties with ABS-CBN, having debuted in their Star Circle Quest program in 2004. Anyway, she looks beautiful and stunning in this single page spread.
Sandara also recently updated her Me2Day with photos and said that although 2NE1 have ended their promotions, they are still having fun, becoming trainees again as they prepare for their new album, scheduled for release in October. They are now rehearsing for their performances this Saturday, 19th September at the 2009 Asia Song Festival and are delighted to be meeting their fans again so soon after ending their promotions.

Well, more like the other way around - F.T Island has been marooned in the Philippines!
As many of our readers (especially those of you in Southeast Asia) know, tropical typhoon season is hitting the Philippines especially hard this year. In the past twenty-four hours, a combination of a recent storm and the subsequent flood waters has left over one hundred people dead or missing and 250,000 homeless.
As for F.T Island, the quintet was stationed in Cebu on September 25th to film their latest music video; however, they were left isolated due to this sudden crisis which may be shaping up to be the worst flooding in forty years.
Upon receiving this news, F.T Island's company, FNC, called to see if anything was wrong, only to be met with no signal. During the crisis, radio contact was lost due to hurricane damage, thus cutting off any connection with the crew. Fortunately, the homebase finally made contact with the crew that afternoon and was able to breathe a sigh of relief with reports that everyone was safe.
The boys' schedules have not been significantly affected by the hurricane, and shooting will continue as planned. The aerial shooting, which was originally planned to be completed over four days & three nights has been squeezed into a tighter schedule of two days due to the hurricane. The crew is expected to return to Korea today.
We're looking forward to this music video & wish the boys an enjoyable (and safe!) trip. We also wish the best of luck and our prayers to those in the Philippines. Not skipping a beat, Korean music industry mogul Yang Hyun-seok is finally making a rather extensive statement to the scandal that has received an overwhelming response: G-dragon’s weary plagiarism case. After being given a “warning” by Sony ATV for “With U,” “I Don’t Care,” “Heartbreaker” and “Butterfly,” the face of YG had a lot to say, amongst other things, on the YG homepage in defense of his current chart topper. Here are some noteworthy snippets:
“Mariah Carey’s song ‘Standing O’ sounds similar to 2NE1’s ‘In The Club,’ which was released 3 months prior. There are 8 lines (24 seconds) that sound similar and, with the repetition of the particular selection, the song contains a total of 1 minute’s worth of material that sounds similar. However, Sony ATV has not made any statement suggesting Mariah Carey’s song being similar 2NE1’s song.” He continued, “These plagiarism accusations brought up by SonyATV have hurt the pride of the 2 [producers Teddy and Perry] which cannot be easily recovered, as well as have put YG Entertainment in public the public eye.” Yang also added, ” Both the composers of ‘I Don’t Care’ and myself have not heard the music produced by Sony ATV.”
Basically: Mariah Carey’s song sounds familiar too but nobody’s mentioned it, we haven’t heard your music, these false accusations have hurt us. Hm.. seeing as YG is hardly the type to roll over and play dead, I’m not surprised/somewhat impressed with his boldness. What do you think of his comeback?
